Prevent yourself catching those horrible germs flying around! I am tackling mine well using all of these 6 useful tips:
SLEEP – You need a good 8 hour sleep to tackle viruses, 5/6 hours just won’t cut it!
VITAMIN D – Take around 2500-5000IU’s every day. It’s a well known fact that we don’t get enough sun in the UK to provide enough Vitamin D.
EAT MORE FRUIT AND VEG – Same old nag but if you want to stay well it’s an easy ask! Make Smoothies, perfect way of adding fruit to your diet!
SHORT SESSIONS – May be music to some people’s ears, but by staying in the gym for a long time you are only adding stress to your body, which is a sure fine way of lowering your immune system. Keep training sessions short and get the work done as fast as you can.
FISH OIL – It does everything you could possibly imagine from increasing the fat burning capacity of the cells to helping with hormone production, and even reducing inflammation throughout the body. A good quality one is a must though.
ECHINACEA – This boosts white blood cell production which has the effect of improving the body’s ability to fight infection. Combine Echinacea with Vitamin C, around 2g of each a day is a good start!
Nothing worse than being ill at Christmas time, so if you take all these useful tips on board now being well and healthy, chances are that is how you will remain! While also making gains in your training and your life!
