Saturday 9th July I was training with Neale Cranwell at Krunch blasting arms, he showed me some awesome ways to get the blood pumping through my arms and feel the burn. We worked on triceps first using a combination of cable machines and weights, upping the weight each time until no more was left in me and my tri’s were red hot by the time we finished. After Tri’s came the Bi’s and that was hard but i must say it was a good session, when I got home I needed a power nap LOL (serious).. Neale definitely pushed me to the limit and made me see I had more left when I thought that was it, he said “we just needed a little word with the muscles” that cracked me up but it worked. In between training I was able to have a chat with Neale which is always nice to get some of his knowledge in this sport, I walked out feeling good as well as shattered..
15th July I completed yet another challenge a 52mile bike ride from London to Southend which was a killer but I cant help shocking my body and putting myself through a great challenge, the weather was great and I was shattered by the time I got home – 4hours it took me. I made sure I fuelled myself with a healthy breaky which was omega oatbran, oatgerm, toasted malted wheat flakes and raisins mixed with soya natural yoghurt and manuka honey LUSH.. During the bike ride I had two bananas and plenty of water, once home I had some protein to repair the muscles i smashed!!
I recently purchased a hard foam roller which has been a god send with helping me massage my legs and glutes and any other area, especially after that bike ride it was needed. The foam roller helps roll out any stress ie lactic acid and prevents any gramps and strains, It can be used before, during and after training. Its important to stretch out and look after your muscles as we put them through enough whilst training.
Set yourself challenges and targets..
