I have been experimenting with different foods and have found a new obsession – HONEY.. I have been eating this with foods pretty much every day for over a week and I honestly feel the benefits adding this to my diet, it certainly takes the edge off any craving for sweet foods. I have been doing a little research on foods and what they can do for me to support my overall well-being, energy boost and great health, so honey is a must to add to the daily diet especially pre-workout. I have honey with soya probiotic yoghurt, banana, sunflower seeds, linseeds, pumpkin seeds and sometimes throw in a few nuts for extra measures, sounds greedy but it works for me haha
Honey is a natural sweetener, also contains 22 amino acids and a variety of minerals essential for its metabolism. It is believed that drinking lemon juice with honey first thing in the morning is an effective anti cellulite treatment as it helps to increase body metabolism.
Nature’s Energy Booster
The benefits of honey go beyond its great taste. A great natural source of carbohydrates which provide strength and energy to our bodies, honey is known for its effectiveness in instantly boosting the performance, endurance and reduce muscle fatigue of athletes. Its natural sugars play an important role in preventing fatigue during exercise. The glucose in honey is absorbed by the body quickly and gives an immediate energy boost, while the fructose is absorbed more slowly providing sustained energy. It is known that honey has also been found to keep levels of blood sugar fairly constant compared to other types of sugar.
Immunity System Builder
Amongst the many health benefits of honey, what is most impressive is that honey can be a powerful immune system booster. It’s antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties can help improve digestive system and help you stay healthy and fight disease. Start every brand new day with this cleansing tonic.
There are many more benefits to this even help clear a hangover, but I wont be needing it for that reason haha
Next week I will be blasting training with Neale Cranwell at Krunch so video’s will be uploaded
