Sunday 10th June
I managed to complete the Southend Half Marathon, this was a challenge I wanted to set myself (as well as being for a good cause) and shockingly enough I beat my time last year which I did not expect to. This was such a nice shock – 1 hour 51 minutes WOW!
I think it is good to shock the body with different challenges and aim high, it certainly shocked my body having run that quick LOL
I made sure I drank plenty of water after the 13 miles I ran and consumed two scoops of protein with enough stretching off. Today I feel absolutely fine “no aches or pains” so it’s important to stretch, drink plenty of water and protein after training, I know this has helped me to repair after that gruelling run 🙂
However, this now means my weight training is back on track as rest period is OVER. I will be blasting mostly upper body as I cannot train legs because I will be training those bad boys with Dayo at the weekend (excited!!)
