Blasted legs on Tuesday with supersets on the smith machine, a back to back workout I was shown by Neale Cranwell at Krunch a few weeks ago. I have been keeping up with supersets and upping the weight as much as I can without exhausting myself trying to improve each week!
Most recently I moved to another gym and found lots of other machines that I had been missing out on i.e. butt press (haha) Glute machine – amazing!!
The best thing I did was changing gyms and already I feel improvements with my training, It all depends what you want from training as for me being a previous member of local leisure clubs did not do my training any favours, great family clubs but not for what I aim for!!
Light week of training and rest
This week my training has been light but not my usual routine as I am running the Southend Half Marathon this Sunday 10th June. I wanted to put myself in for a challenge that will test my fitness and shock my body, all for charity. I love charity events like this as I can set myself new challenges and goals, check where my fitness is and compare to the last.
I must admit 13miles is a killer as I have completed this event for the past two years (this is my third) and every time I pushed myself to the limit to get better and better. However, this time around I have not set a new PB (personal best) due to my current increase in weight training, my long distance running has taken a back seat so this one I won’t set my sights on beating last years “1hr 57mins” but if I beat it I will be amazed 🙂
I will video some clips of my event and post them – wish me luck!
